Dr. Tyson has as much stake in this world as you or I, and has no reason to cover up the end of the world.
I’m not sure which doomsday 2012 situation you buy, but finding a giant planet is not difficult (even for armatures). Getting the sun, the moon, and the center of the galaxy to line up is not hard, and happens often, nor could the Mayans, nor any other ancient civilization have realized it.

well that planet i think is made up and the alignment well i just dont know what that would do. But look at global warming, its getting worse and the U.S economy is failing. But i think something is going to happen good or bad. even Einstein predicts pole shift in 2012 and the year 2012 is soo significant in so many cultures. it be an end of something and a new beginning but the way the world is looking i think something is gonna happen
